Friedemann Horn
Friedemann has been active in the field of intellectual property for more than 25 years. His main focus is on helping Japanese companies obtain the best possible patent protection in Europe and Germany.
A graduate of the electrical engineering department at the University of Dortmund, he lived in Japan from 1996 to 2005. After working at a patent law firm located in Osaka for several years, he founded Horn & Uchida Patent Translations Ltd., an industry leader in high-quality patent translations between Japanese and English.
Friedemann is a frequent lecturer, in Germany and abroad, on German and European patent matters.
Outside of work
A man of the word, Friedemann likes learning languages and has dabbled in more than ten and counting so far. He is also an avid traveller and likes visiting new places with his family.
